Motorcyclist killed in crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident in Co Cavan.

The accident involving two motorbikes happened on the road between Ballinagh and Cavan town centre at Creighan at around 8.25pm yesterday.

The 31-year-old victim was taken to Cavan General Hospital but later died.

The other motorcyclist, believed to be in his 20s, is recovering in hospital.

The scene of the crash was sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardaí appealed for witnesses to come forward.
