Cork customs officers seize illegal cigarettes

Customs officers have today seized 54,000 cigarettes in Fermoy in Co Cork.

The 'Bon International' brand has a retail value of €23,000 and represents a potential loss of more than €18,000 to the Exchequer.

An Irishman in his 60s has been arrested and the vehicle in which the cigarettes were being transported has been seized.
