Vita Cortex workers take protest to IBEC

Vita Cortex workers are protesting outside employers' group IBEC in Cork today.

They are now in their 62nd day of a sit-in at the firm's plant in a dispute concerning unpaid redundancy entitlements.

Workers want IBEC to use its influence to try and get the outstanding money paid.

One of the workers, Mick Delaney, said that the sit-in is beginning to take its toll on him.

"You can keep this up for a while, but the stress of it all and the tiredness just creeps into you and you just get fed up of being here," he said.

"It's like a prison basically, if you ask me."
