Judge refuses to strike out murder case

A District Court judge has refused to strike out the case against Rose Lynch, who is accused of the murder of David Darcy.

A District Court judge has refused to strike out the case against Rose Lynch, who is accused of the murder of David Darcy.

Mr Darcy was shot dead outside his Dublin home last November.

Lawyers for the 49-year-old with an address at Oakleigh Wood, Limerick applied for a strike out in reply to a request by the State for more time.

This was her fourth court appearance since she was charged in December.

Judge John O'Neill said he was satisfied Garda inquiries were ongoing and that the case is being dealt with as expeditiously as possible.

He put the case back two weeks.
