Divers find body of missing man in Kerry

The body of Tralee man Neilus O'Connor has been found in Loch an Gaineamhain, near Cromane, Co. Kerry.

The body of Tralee man Neilus O'Connor has been found in Loch an Gaineamhain, near Cromane, Co. Kerry.

Mr O'Connor went missing early on Friday morning, his kayak was later recovered from the lake.

Inspector Fearghal Pattwell confirmed he was found around 3.10pm and said the 38-year-old was found close to where his boat had been located during a trawl of the lake.

Michael Fox O'Connor, an uncle of Neilius', has thanked all those who have helped in the search and for all the good wishes sent to the family.
