New research by the Central Bank has highlighted the difference in interest rates being charged on variable and tracker mortgages in Ireland.

New research by the Central Bank has highlighted the difference in interest rates being charged on variable and tracker mortgages in Ireland.

Although they were almost equal up to the end of 2008, the Central Bank has said the variable rate can now be up to 3% higher than that of a tracker mortgage.
