Callely released from Garda custody

Former Minister of State Ivor Callely has been released from Garda custody today.

The 53-year-old was detained yesterday by members of the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation.

He was questioned at Irishtown garda station in Dublin in connection with mobile phone receipts.

The former Fianna Fáil TD has now been released without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
