Institutes of Technology join forces to plan 'technological university'

Plans are well advanced to form what would be Ireland's largest higher education institution.

Negotiations are ongoing between Institutes of Technology in Donegal, Dundalk, Galway, Athlone and Sligo to establish the Border Midlands West Technological University.
