Varadkar announces €100m of road projects for 2012
The Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has announced €100m worth of funding for new road safety and upgrading projects around the country this year.
Minister Varadkar said the money will be used to improve major black-spots and bottlenecks and will support around 1,200 jobs.
Work will start on around 30 projects this year including the Ballaghaderreen Bypass in Co. Roscommon; the N7 Newlands Cross upgrade in South Dublin and the N11 Arklow to Rathnew road in Co. Wicklow.
