Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Cork assault

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after man in his early 20s was assaulted in Cork city centre in the early hours of this morning.

The incident took place around 3am close to the fountain on the city's Grand Parade, a well-known Cork landmark in the vicinity of several late-night bars and food establishments.
