Galway river search expected to resume

A search of the river Corrib in Galway city is expected to resume later this morning.

It comes after reports that a person was spotted in the water near Spanish Arch at about 7pm yesterday evening.

Members of the coastguard, fire brigade and gardaí attended the scene but the search was stood down due to fading light.
