Irishman dies during adventure trip to Peru

An Irishman has been killed in an accident while on an adventure trip to Peru, it has emerged today.

Peter Buckley, 25, from Courtnacuddy, near Enniscorthy, was taking part with a team in the Mototaxi Junket, a three-wheeled motorbike race, when they were involved in the accident on Saturday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs sais that it is providing consular assistance to the family of the man who died.

More than 200 people travelled Peru and India for the annual Mototaxi Junket and Rickshaw Run, to raise money for charity.
