Vita Cortex claims lack of funds prevents payment of redundancy

The company Vita Cortex has claimed it does not have funds to pay redundancy to 32 workers who have been staging a sit-in at the foam-packaging plant in Cork since mid-December.

In a statement this afternoon, the company said it was not refusing to pay out, but does not have the funding at present.
