Figures show major rise in reports of Social Welfare fraud

The number of people reporting Social Welfare fraud has risen dramatically over the past five years.

Figures published in this morning's Irish Times, show anonymous tip-offs to the Department of Social Protection increased from about 600 in 2005 to more than 16,000 this year.
