Shoppers coming out in droves for sales

Retailers are reporting brisk business today as the St Stephens Day sales get into full swing.

Some stores opened as early as 6am this morning.

Retail analysts have said many value-conscious shoppers have been holding off for the sales.

Lisa Kavanagh, retail director at Arnotts department store, said the mild weather has helped bring shoppers out in force.
