Laois stabbing victim still in hospital

A man in his 20s remains in a serious condition in hospital this afternoon after he was stabbed several times in Co Laois in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Gardaí are investigating the incident, in which the 22-year-old man suffered multiple stab injuries.

It's understood the stabbing occured after a fight broke out between two men outside an apartment block on College Avenue in Mountmellick.
