Up to 1,500 Irish women have faulty breast implants

Close to 1,500 women in Ireland are understood to have been given breast implants made by a French company which is at the centre of a cancer scare.

There is disagreement between British and French doctors over whether a certain type of silicone breast implant is dangerous.
