Poet Heaney donates papers to National Library

The Irish Nobel laureate, Seamus Heaney, has donated his literary papers to the National Library.

The Irish Nobel laureate, Seamus Heaney, has donated his literary papers to the National Library.

At the heart of the new archive are the manuscripts of his poetry from his first collection in 1966 up to last year.

Seamus Heaney said he never thought about putting the collection up for international auction and he hopes he will be adding more to it.
