Burton hopeful of property tax decision by next Budget

Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton is hopeful that a decision on property tax will be made by the next Budget, meaning people could be paying a property tax a year earlier than expected.

The Government has approved the setting up of a group to look at how to organise the system, which will replace the household charge taking effect in the New Year.
