Two investigations into prisoner's suicide

Two investigations are underway into the death of a prisoner who committed suicide shortly after a court appearance in Dublin yesterday.

Shane Rogers was arrested in connection with the death of GAA player James Hughes in a taxi in Dundalk almost two weeks ago.

The 32-year-old was found dead in his cell, despite being on suicide watch.

Security Editor with the Irish Independent, Tom Brady, has said Mr Rogers had told Gardaí that he could not live with himself.
