Gardaí make arrest in 11-year Mayo murder case

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a woman in Co. Mayo 11 years ago have made an arrest.

Sandra Collins was 29 when she was last seen at a fish and chip shop in Killala in December 2000.

Investigating officers this morning arrested a man in his forties in the Ballina area.

He is being questioned at Ballina Garda Station under Section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
