EBS workers to picket branches over 13th month payment
Three hundred workers at EBS Building Society will go on strike today over what they say is the "withholding" of a 13th month payment.
Unite trade union denies that the payment amounts to a bonus and says it has been paid to staff for the past 45 years.
They will picket two branches, one in Tallaght in Dublin and one in William Street in Limerick, as well as EBS headquarters in Dublin.
Colm Quinlan of Unite trade union has said the money has already been paid to management.
