Household charge boycotters may have fines deducted from wages

People who fail to pay the new €100 household charge may see the payment being deducted from their wages or social welfare.

The tax, which comes into effect in January, is facing stiff opposition with more than 15 TDs now publicly refusing to pay the fee.
