An Bord Pleanála has granted planning permission for the construction of the DART Underground in Dublin, despite the Government deciding recently to shelve the project.

Iarnród Éireann has welcomed the decision from the planning board, but acknowledged that the project, which would run from Dublin’s Docklands to Inchicore, will not be going ahead in the near future.
