Dundalk shooting victim named
The man shot dead in a taxi in Dundalk, County Louth this morning, has been named locally as James Hughes from Crossmaglen in South Armagh.
A post mortem examination is being carried out on the body of the 35-year-old.
Mr Hughes was shot dead as he sat in a taxi that had stopped outside a house in the Lis Na Dara area of the town.
The 48-year-old taxi driver and a 21-year-old female passenger were also injured.
A short time later, a 32-year-old man presented himself at Carrickmacross Garda Station in County Monaghan, and was arrested.
