Kenny to seek referendum advice

The Attorney General is to give advice to the Taoiseach on whether Ireland needs to go to the polls over the new EU treaty on fiscal stability put forward in Brussels.

Britain was the only member state not to agree to the deal aimed at solving the debt crisis and rescuing the euro through greater coordination of economic policies.
