Noonan confirms €100 household charge

The Finance Minister Michael Noonan has announced a €100 household charge as announced by the Environment Minister Phil Hogan.

Mr Noonan has confirms a waiver for those on mortgage interest supplement and for those in certain ghost estates.

He has also said that provision will be made for the charge to be paid in instalments.
