Finance Minister Michael Noonan has unveiled an increase in the rate of mortgage interest relief to 30% for first-time buyers who took out a mortgage between 2004 and 2008.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan has unveiled an increase in the rate of mortgage interest relief to 30% for first-time buyers who took out a mortgage between 2004 and 2008.

First-time buyers who purchase a home in 2012 will get mortgage interest relief at 25%, rather than 15% signalled by previous Government.
