Gardaí searching for missing student find body in yard

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of a student in Cork have found a body in a yard close to the city centre.

The body has not yet been formally identified.

The discovery was made at Blue Anchor Lane, at the Capwell Road end of Douglas Street, shortly before 11am.

A post mortem is due to be carried out at Cork University Hospital later today.

Hundreds of people have joined in the search for 18-year-old Caolan Mulrooney who disappeared after a night out early on Friday morning.
