Cork man makes urgent appeal in search for missing son

The father of a missing UCC student is making an urgent appeal to anyone who found the 18-year old's mobile phone to hand it over.

A massive search operation is underway in Cork city for Caolan Mulrooney who was reported missing after a night out with friends on Thursday.

The popular engineering student had been at a Christmas party at Cubins nightclub and the last confirmed sighting of him is at Fort Street in the early hours of Friday morning.

His father Eugene said they have been trying to contact him on his mobile.
