Snow showers expected in northern parts today

The first signs of a white Christmas are expected later, as showers of sleet and snow are expected to hit parts of the North and North West.

Met Éireann said temperatures would dip over the coming days. It is still relatively mild, in comparison to the Baltic -10C felt across the country this time last year.
