Group wants wealthy to pay more taxes

A pre-Budget protest outside the Dáil today will call on the Government to ensure wealthy people pay a bigger share of the country's tax burden.

The campaign group "Claiming Our Future" wants a levy on assets of more than €1m, higher tax rates for people earning more than €100,000 and a levy on financial transactions.
