Cardiff: It's not all about me

Kevin Cardiff has said there are many more people than he, with a lot more at stake, awaiting the outcome of job interviews, and that the focus should be on getting the economy running again.

He also said he "had fun" at his interview yesterday for a position on the European Court of Auditors, despite his bid being rejected by one vote by the Budgetary Affairs Committee of the European Parliament.

"I had great fun…It was the most strenuous and interesting job interview I've ever done, " he said..

"There's an awful lot of people around Ireland who are waiting for the results of job interviews...and this has to be kept in perspective.

"It's all about getting this economy running for those people, not about me. Thanks."
