Soldiers from Mullingar's Columb Barracks and Custume Barracks in Athlone make up the majority of those who are due into Dublin Airport at lunchtime.

Hundreds of family members and friends are expected to welcome them home.

Taking over the mission are 440 members of the 105th Battalion.
