Calls for Naas mayor Scully to resign after race row

The mayor of Naas is facing calls to resign over allegations of racism after he warned he will refuse to represent members of the black community.

Anti-racism organisation Show Racism the Red Card called for Cllr Darren Scully's resignation after he told a Co Kildare radio station he found “black Africans” to be aggressive and bad-mannered, and that he would no longer represent them.
