An elderly man was knocked down this morning as he was crossing the road at Stillorgan Park in Dublin.

The man was crossing the road when he was knocked down.

Gardaí in Blackrock are investigating the collision which took place at 10am today on the N11 at Stillorgan Park.

The injured man is being treated in St Vincents Hospital.

The N11 southbound at Stillorgan Park has been reduced to two lanes and delays are expected in the area as a forensic collision examination is taking place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Blackrock garda station on 01 6665200 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
