Dublin: Man arrested after Pearse Street assault
A man in his 20s has been arrested by gardaí investigating a serious assault on a 41-year-old taxi driver in Dublin.
The assault happened on Pearse Street in the city centre in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The victim was taken to Saint James' Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.
The man in custody was arrested in the south inner city area yesterday evening.
He is being held at Pearse Street garda station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
