Study: 90% of rape victims know perpetrator

A new study has revealed that in nine out of ten incidences of sexual assault or rape the perpetrator is known to the victim.

The data released today from the Rape Crisis Network shows that over a third of perpetrators are family members or relatives and another third are friends, acquaintances or neighbours.
