Thousands protest Abbeyleix hospital closure

More than 4,000 people are taking part in a protest this afternoon in Abbeyleix in Co. Laois over the HSE's proposals to close the local community hospital in the town.

The crowd has been addressed by local politicians and members of the Hospital Committee Group.
