Warning of severe weather in west and south west

Residents in the West and South West of the country are being warned to expect heavy rain and winds today, as Met Éireann issues a severe weather warning.

The worst of the weather is forecast to hit parts of Cork, Kerry, Galway and Mayo for the 24 hours from early today, with up to 50 millimetres of rain likely.
