Kenny, Merkel hold 'frank' discussion

Taoiseach Enda Kenny today met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin for what Mr Kenny described as 'frank' discussions.

During the talks, Mr Kenny's first official face-to-face meeting with a Eurozone leader in the eight months since the General Election, the Taoiseach said he outlined the difficult path that Ireland has taken to date and insisted that the country will 'stay the course' in relation to implementation of the IMF/EU bailout terms.
