PAC to investigate 2008 Bank Guarantee
The Public Accounts Committee has said it will draw up proposals on an investigation into the banking crisis, starting with the Bank Guarantee of September 2008.
Committee Chairman John McGuinness said they had no option but to review what could be done within the existing powers of the PAC, since the defeat of the referendum on granting the Oireachtas powers of inquiry.
