Irish Red Cross helps victims of Dublin floods
The Irish Red Cross is stepping in to help Dublin householders worst hit by last month's floods.
Officials are highlighting one case in which an elderly woman saw floodwaters enter her home as rain poured through her kitchen roof, destroying her belongings and furniture, and leaving her with just one habitable room in her home.
Anyone who wants to apply for assistance from the Red Cross Fund is being advised to contact their local Community Welfare Officer at the Department of Social Protection.
