Intel may transfer Irish staff to US

Hundreds of staff at the Intel Ireland plant in Co. Kildare may be asked to transfer to the US.

The move comes after the multi-national company decided to move production of its next generation computer chip to America.

The Sunday Business Post reports that up to 300 staff could leave the Leixlip facility for the US.

It comes as the company moves to scale back production due to uncertain global demand.
