The Central Statistics Office has said the country is no better or worse off as a result of an accounting blunder which raised Ireland's debt by €3.6bn.

The Central Statistics Office has said the country is no better or worse off as a result of an accounting blunder which raised Ireland's debt by €3.6bn.

It confirmed the new, revised, figure has general Government gross debt at the end of 2010 at €144.4bn (92.6% of GDP), rather than the published €148bn (94.9% of GDP).
