A woman accused of the murder of a man, who died following a stabbing in Galway, today consented to being remanded in custody for another two weeks pending completion of a book of evidence.

A woman accused of the murder of a man, who died following a stabbing in Galway, today consented to being remanded in custody for another two weeks pending completion of a book of evidence.

Maura Thornton (aged 30) with an address at Upper Salthill, Galway, had been charged in August with murdering Kevin Joyce (agedc 59), a Co Mayo native, at an apartment in Salthill on July 31.
