Two arrested in connection with Limerick stabbing
Gardaí investigating a stabbing in Limerick city earlier today in which a man was seriously injured have arrested two people.
The man and woman, both in their mid 20s, were arrested in the city this evening.
The victim in his 20s was seriously injured in the incident off Parnell Street shortly before 4pm.
He was rushed to the Midwestern Regional Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The woman arrested is being held at Henry St. Garda Station and the man is being questioned at Roxboro Road Garda Station.
They are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be questioned for up to 12 hours.
