Two women due in court in connection with firearm seizure

Two women are appearing in court today over the seizure of a firearm and ammunition in Dublin.

The women, both in their 20s, have been charged in connection with the search of a house to the west of the city on Tuesday, October 18.

Gardaí found a sawn-off shotgun and a quantity of ammunition as well as a large amount of cosmetics at the house in Dunsink.

A 40-year-old woman who was arrested as part of the same operation has been released without charge and a file is being sent to the DPP.
