Tributes paid to garda who lost his life in flood
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has led tributes to the young garda and a woman who lost their lives during the flash floods that wreaked havoc across the east of Ireland.
The body of Garda Ciaran Jones, 25, was pulled from the River Liffey in Co Wicklow this morning, close to where he was swept into the water while trying to help motorists in danger during last night’s deluge.
