Pensioner dies in Kilkenny road accident

An elderly man has died after an accident in Co. Kilkenny.

The 80-year-old man was involved in a two-vehicle collision at Minnauns, Callan at approximately 1.30pm this afternoon.

The male driver was the sole occupant of a car that collided with an SUV.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic investigation.
